The walls of the clinic are of a sandy texture, and the furnishings are natural wood and saguaro ribs. The inquisitive will enjoy viewing many shelves of natural Chinese herbs in clear glass jars. This helps create a more natural, comfortable healing environment- bringing a soothing part of nature in.
The five elements of Chinese medicine are present in the room- Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. Together, the elements are thought to create a balanced state, just as acupuncturists strive for a balance state of the body. The five elements are associated with the five main organ pairs in the body:
Fire (Heart and Small Intestine)
Earth (Stomach and Spleen)
Metal (Lung and Large Intestine)
Water (Kidney and Urinary Bladder)
Wood (Liver and Gall Bladder)
