Your Practitioner

Jill DarbanI earned my Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Central Washington University in 1983. I was board certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a Specialist in Hematology in 1992.  I received a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2007 from the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  In 2007 at EEG Institute in California, I was trained in the scientific basis and techniques of neurofeedback. Since January of 2008, I have had ongoing training in scalp acupuncture with Dr. Qingming Zhu, well known for his innovative work with strokes and other neurological problems.

My 20 years of service in medicine provides me with a solid base for practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine. Using this knowledge, I strive to provide professional care which best addresses the health needs of my clients.

I am currently licensed as an acupuncturist by the State of Arizona. I am board certified by National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine.  This qualifies me to diagnose, formulize, and dispense herbal formulas.

While I treat a variety of health conditions, my special emphasis is the treatment of chronic pain, post-stroke sequelae, head injury, and other neurological conditions. Whatever condition we will be treating, you will find the environment of my treatment room to be safe, relaxing, comfortable and caring.    Jill Darban
